  • Youth Apprenticeship and Youth RA models target individuals ages 16–24, combining coursework with training and sometimes offering progressive wages and dual college credit; requirements vary by state.  
  • Pre-Apprenticeship Programs prepare candidates with foundational skills to qualify for RA, often through high schools or adult education programs.  

 As a best practice, all apprenticeship models incorporate a framework of mentorship and support that helps equip participants with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and supportive services that contribute to success in ECE careers.
